| LAS VEGAS – For 14 years, the world has come to Las Vegas for the World Gaming Congress and Expo (WGCE). In that time, WGCE has grown to become the industry’s premier event, bringing buyers and sellers from every gaming market together in one site. Now, the creators of WGCE are bringing one site to the world, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. worldgaminglive.com, a new web site, is an expanded, virtual version of WGCE, accessible to visitors across the globe. “The World Gaming Congress has always had a global impact, both in terms of exhibitors and visitors. Now, with this site, the word ‘global’ means even more,” said Brian Vargas, Vice President for Trade Show Operations. In the few short weeks since it went online, several thousand visitors have already “hit” the site, and more than 100 WGCE exhibitors have launched “virtual e-booths” in the site’s “virtual trade show,” with more coming on-line each week. On worldgaminglive.com, exhibitors display in a virtual e-booth, which features descriptions of their companies, services and products; address, phone, fax and contact information; link to web sites and e-mails; and most importantly, photos and descriptions of five of their company’s key products and services. “The virtual e-booths are extremely beneficial to exhibitors because they can change, update and improve their virtual trade show as frequently as they wish. This is a key advantage to consumers as well, as the newest information is always just a click away,” Vargas said. Visitors to the Expo portion of worldgaminglive.com can find a comprehensive list of the more than 700 exhibitors at the upcoming WGCE in Las Vegas, complete with booth numbers and basic contact information. The show runs October 18-20. The web site also contains information on the upcoming WGCE, a registration form, stories and photos recent conferences and trade shows, downloadable video, audio and text from key speeches and presentations. “The web site is just one more example of our commitment to bringing the gaming world together, and to bringing gaming to the world,” Vargas said. |
