TOP THREE Most Innovative Gaming Products OF 2002
HONORED AT AMERICAN GAMING SUMMIT

LAS VEGAS (January 15, 2003) – International Game Technology, Acres Gaming and WMS Gaming were the big winners at Casino Journal’s Most Innovative Gaming Products of 2002 Awards ceremony Jan. 10 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The three winners were chosen by a vote of attendees to American Gaming Summit, Jan. 9-10 at the Rio. The companies received the awards at a luncheon at the conclusion of the Summit.

The three winning entries:

• Platinum Award (first place) to IGT for Multi-Strike Poker
• Gold Award (second place) to Acres Gaming for its Mobile Data Access handheld data delivery system
• Silver Award (third place) to WMS Gaming for Bluebird slot machine platform

Casino Journal’s Top 20 Most Innovative New Gaming Products Awards are recognized as the most prestigious honor bestowed on gaming products or services. Now in its sixth year, the competition recognizes the most innovative offerings in the gaming industry. Gaming vendors were invited to submit product nominations for their newest, most creative products and services.

A panel of expert judges evaluated this year’s entries and selected 20 finalists, which are featured in the January edition of Casino Journal. Attendees to this year’s 9th Annual American Gaming Summit selected the Top 3 from the list of 20 finalists.

The Top 20 finalists are featured on the American Gaming Summit web site. The Ninth Annual American Gaming Summit was presented by Casino Journal and GEM Communications, Lionel Sawyer & Collins, and exclusive investment banking sponsor Deutsche Bank. It attracted more than 300 gaming executives and financial analysts. It was preceded on Jan. 8 by the fifth Slot Manager Institue, which attracted 125 slot managers from across North America.
