| Slot Manager Becomes Official Publication of GSA LAS VEGAS (August 16, 2002) – GEM Communications, publisher of the world’s leading gaming industry publications, has entered in a partnership agreement with the Gaming Standards Association. GEM’s quarterly publication Slot Manager has been named the official publication of GSA. The agreement will begin with the magazine’s September 2002 edition. The GSA logo and endorsement will appear on Slot Manager’s cover, establishing Slot Manager as GSA’s official publication. GEM and GSA will provide links to each other’s web sites, and GEM will provide further support to GSA through use of its e-mail distribution. “The editors of Slot Manager – and all of GEM’s publications – have been committed to providing extensive news coverage of GSA’s growing prominence in the industry, and our editorial pages have drawn attention to GSA’s mission,” said Ashley Smith, President GEM Communications U.S. “We’re honored that Slot Manager has been chosen the official publication of GSA, and we look forward to building on our relationship with GSA and helping GSA with its mission.” Paula “PJ” Stegen, Executive Director of the Gaming Standards Association, said the new partnership will be beneficial to both organizations and the industry as a whole. “Slot Manager has a history of support for the industry, our organization and its mission,” Stegen said. “GEM has been a leading proponent of gaming standards and has offered editorial support of GSA’s mission and its efforts.
